Article 1

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2018/09/03/northern-women-arent-aggressive-fight-anyone-says/

I find this article extremely interesting as I feel it addresses the concept of stereotyping in a very direct and informative manor, it also incorporates humour with this more serious topic .The article discusses generalisations of Northern women, combining gender stereotypes with stereotypes about an individual's origins. The target audience is general members of the public as stereotyping is something every single person does in one way or another, this article dismisses the importance of generalisations and expresses the writer's frustration with them.

I like this article because I find the subject of this article interesting and mostly agree with the opinion of the author

Article 4

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/aug/31/teacher-shortage-maths-science-pay-rise-government

This article addresses the issue of teacher shortage in the UK, and explains how offering Maths and Science teachers a larger salary would not be the most effective way to tackle this problem. The article is wrtitten to persuade people that this issue should be dealt with in more fair way, that does not favour maths and science teachers. I find this article very informative as it is based on statistics as well as the wroter's opinion.

Article 5

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/sep/02/disabled-actors-bbc-elephant-man-normalised-exclusion

This article targets the isuue of discrimination against disbled actors, as they are often not chosen to play parts that were wrotten to have a disability of some sort, such as the Elephant Man. The article puts across the point that disabled actors should not be ignored and how it is an industry wide problem. The writer informs the reader about the problem and its importance, as it would play a significant role in the fight against discrimination against the disabled.
